Review: Papertris

Are you looking for a new puzzle game for the Nintendo Switch? The team over at Flynn’s Arcade has recently published a new title made by Paper_Games that may be exactly what you are looking for.

Papertris is a puzzle game that requires players to strategically move, rotate, and drop a series of blocks that are falling from the top of the board and match them by colour at the bottom to remove them. The goal of the game is to clear the board and not let the blocks reach the top. The game gives me very strong Tetris and Puyo Puyo vibes.

Every level has a different requirement for completion. For example, some levels need an X amount of blocks to be destroyed, while other levels require destroying X blocks of a particular colour. There are also some timed levels where you have to eliminate a certain amount of blocks under a time limit.

Alongside a single-player game which consists of a Challenge mode and Endless mode, there is also a two-player mode where you can play two-player in Versus mode or Endless versus modes with a split-screen view.

Papertris is a small but fun puzzle game that is suitable for all ages. It feels satisfying when you beat your own personal scores, and is very enjoyable with a friend in two player mode. I recommend Papertris as a fun time killer when you have a few minutes to kill during the day, but can also be enjoyed in longer gaming sessions.

A huge thank you to the team over at Flynn’s Arcade for sending us a review copy. Please make sure you support the developers and publishers by checking out there links below.
